Video And Cancelled Events Due To Coronavirus

With the coronavirus impacting so many, the events were the first to get canceled. All mass gatherings have been canceled and the impact has been profound. It’s been a real struggle for event organizers to know how to plan events that are weeks or months out, and it’s been devastating for organizers who are making the last-minute call to cancel, or who’ve had that decision made for them.

We have been working with our friends at Politz Hebrew Academy for many years now, creating films for their annual galas. The videos have played an important role in the events and helping the school fundraise.

This year, we collaborated with the school to create a Jeopardy parody film. The plan was to entertain the room and let the honorees use their speeches in person at the event, to encourage the community to donate.

When the event was canceled, the opportunity to feature the honorees and reach their audience would be lost.

With the event only two days away, we worked hand-in-hand with the team at Politz Hebrew Academy to coordinate shoots with all three honorees. We filmed a brief message from each of them and edited the three videos in less than one day.

On Sunday evening, Politz Hebrew Academy was able to send an email driving guests and community members to their website where everyone could see the three honoree videos alongside the original Politz Hebrew Academy Jeopardy film. We’re proud we helped Politz reach their audience uninterrupted, and with heart, even during these rapidly changing times.
